My first experience with digital art came from scrolling text on bulletin boards during the dial-up days. The simplicity of 80-character text columns and a limited color palette had a unique charm. Back then, computers had basic hardware—graphics cards could only display 256 colors, and sound cards used on-board oscillators. Yet, programmers ingeniously pushed these limits to create impressive results. ANSITUNES captures that essence by using noise and synth oscillators for music, displaying ASCII characters in VGA colors, while ECA-generated songs play as ANSI artwork scrolls. The Tezos blockchain will mint 256 unique 2D generative art pieces.
