This project blends two passions: symmetry and Perlin noise. Using fragment shaders, I explore palette functions that transform a 0-to-1 input range into a spectrum of colors. By combining geometric and organic radial shapes, the results are color-enhanced through these palette functions. There’s also a 4% chance of encountering a "dotted" background. Gravitas, derived from the Latin term for gravity, is a generative abstract artwork created entirely through code. It draws inspiration from stalactites—geological formations formed over time by the effects of gravity and water. Rather than portraying the formations themselves, the artwork focuses on the unseen forces driving their creation. This invisible energy, whether shaping minerals, influencing organic life, or evoking eerie movie themes, is omnipresent and subtly impacts existence.
