The Mutant Apes serve as a bonus for BAYC holders and offer an accessible entry point into the world of BAYC for those unfamiliar with the ecosystem.

Bored Ape Kennel Club is an NFT collection of 10,000 NFTs featuring the dogs that were launched on the 18th of Jun 2022. BAKCs use Ethereum-based ERC-721 token and are hosted on IPFS. Each NFT is built programmatically from a pool of approximately 170 different qualities.

Bored Ape Chemistry Club is a collection of 10,000 "mutant serums", which is necessary to "mutate" a BAYC into its mutation form known as 'Mutant Ape'. Every BAYC's holders were airdropped a serum which would be burnt during the mutation process. MAYC's rarity depends on the tier of 'Mutant serum' that was "injected" to the Ape. Mega serums would give the apes special traits to form the 1/1 unique NFTs.
